Sam Houston State @ Baylor

Well, spent a lot of time out at the various tailgate parties, saw some people who've made my first couple of months so enjoyable, Mike Dewey, Pete Rowe, Jeff Kilgore, and it's amazing how many people we met from East Texas, including David Hene, who went to school with our kids at Tyler Lee.

China Spring head coach Mark Bell had a great setup for his tailgate and his ribs were DELICIOUS.

I saw the Bear Mobile, very interesting.

That area is wonderful---and it's Baylor's version of Animal House.

My wife Cindy made the trip in---it's a recruiting visit, but it's won't be against NCAA rules if someone was to offer her inducements and even a nice job...

Just kidding, maybe.

We're a half-hour away from kickoff, back in a moment.

Not a bad crowd here this evening, not completely packed but everyone here in the press box telling me it's one of the best crowds they've seen in awhile...the "Baylor Line" stretches from the entrance of the football team to midfield 10-15 deep.

Smoaky
