Why wouldn't we host our show on Labor Day?

I had a few people almost shocked that we hosted "You Make The Call" on Monday, Labor Day.

My question is "why not?"

It's the first show after Baylor opening game and the first day of the week with the NFL season about to start.

We had our regular guests and had plenty to talk about.

At least now, it's not about what might happen, but some games and results to discuss.

  1. Bigtime radio shows do shows on holidays. Several I heard yesterday in DFW. I think it shocks people around here because the people who have run this station in the past would not even think of doing a show. They always took off. Just throw on a triple header of baseball and be done with it. That bugged me to no end. Just don't care about the listener, I want a day off. And don't even mention the Christmas holidays. They would sign off on that last thurs., or Friday before Christmas and not come back til after the new year. Two weeks. Unbelievable! Who cares about state championship games of local teams or cowboys, or anything else. They had to have their vacation time. Thank you so much David for bringing your show here and for your committment to the listeners. It is appreciated.
